Block printing is a very old technique wherein a block (wood, linoleum, rubber) is carved into a relief pattern. Ink or paint is applied to the surface and the image can then be transferred onto paper, fabric or wood.
At this workshop, you will learn the basics of the technique using a flexible rubber block and a variety of carving tools while making two printing blocks of your own to use to print with during the workshop and to keep for future projects.
- Rubber block material
